Living in Philadelphia

Philadelphia is not only a great city to study in, it’s an amazing region to live in. Philadelphia has more history than Los Angeles, more diversity than Washington D.C. or Boston, and is more authentically American than New York City.

Philadelphia, “the City of Brotherly Love”, is a perfect representation of the American melting pot. It is a patchwork of international neighborhoods, including Chinese, Indian, Korean, Pakistani, Russian, Nigerian, Greek, Armenian and Latino.

Not only does the city embrace international visitors, organizations such as International House Philadelphia, International Visitor’s Council of Philadelphia and the Welcome Center for New Pennsylvanians actively welcome international students to the region.

New York City and Washington D.C., not to mention ocean beaches and beautiful mountains, are less than two hours away by car or train.

It’s easy to plug right in to Philadelphia, thanks to its affordable cost of living, plentiful housing, and easy access to healthcare. So you can spend more time focused on the fun stuff, like what to do on Saturday night.
