Thomas Jefferson University, dedicated to health sciences, includes Jefferson Medical College, Jefferson College of Graduate Studies, Jefferson College of Health Professions, and Jefferson University Physicians. Jefferson's mission is educating healthcare professionals and discovering knowledge to define the future of clinical care.

HOUSING
Almost 600 people live in Jefferson's two apartment buildings and one traditional residence hall on campus. The on-campus community includes students from all three colleges, as well as some post-doc fellows and medical residents, so it's a good way to develop relationships with students in other academic programs. All three buildings are in the center of campus, so residents are always close to classes, the library and the hospital. For those who prefer to live off-campus, the Housing Office maintains postings of apartments and houses for rent in the neighborhood.

ACTIVITIES
Jefferson's 96 student organizations range in topic from arts appreciation to service societies, and ethnic groups to university-wide social activities. The Activities Office sponsors favorite annual events such as the Taste of the Neighborhood, Etiquette Dinner, Movie Nights and Spring Fling. See a complete listing of student organizations here.

SPORTS
While Jefferson does not have any intercollegiate sports teams, club and intramural sports are popular on campus. Team sports include football, karate, soccer, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, water polo, basketball and softball. And for the solo player, tournaments are held in squash and racquetball.
